Project Purpose :

To promote the use of renewable energy and efficiency systems in the new generation of sports facilities which will be built in Ankara and to raise awareness among local governments and related ministries. To reduce energy costs and increase the number of sustainable sports fields in sports facilities that are open to public use.

Activities/ Outputs :

1. Planning of Sports Complex for Renewable Energy Applications: The sports complex planning will be done on an area of 10.420 square meters.
2. Sports Plant Building Project Drawing Application: An application will be created in order to draw sport plant building projects.
3. Furbishing of Building and Ensuring Energy Efficiency: Buildings will be furnished in an energy efficient format.
4. Installation of Solar System: 400 Solar Energy Panels will be placed on the building and integrated into the energy system.
5. Carbon Footprint Measurement: First Carbon Footprint measurement will be made following building refurbishment. The second measurement will be done after the integration of energy efficiency and solar energy system.
6. Project Presentation Meeting: An estimated 120 participants were envisaged .70 participants were identified as indicators.
7. Visit of the Local Institutions and Organizations: Starting from the integration of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources into the system the center will be introduced as a good example to the personnel of 5 different Country Municipalities of Ankara.
8. Project Closing Meeting: An estimated 120 participants were envisaged. 70 participants were identified as indicators.
